Attach the water line that is coming from the pool to the suction side of your pump. Attach a line to the side of the pump with the outlet. Fill the pump with water ensuring that the pump trap fills completely. We are a smud pg e certified installer.

In part one i. Open the pump s pressure release valve to relieve any pressure and then close. Disconnect the power to the pool ideally at the circuit breaker. Now your new pool pump should be ready to use.

Open the inlet shutoff valves until water is circulating throughout the pump.

Before installing a pool pump you ll need to remove the old one. Turn your new pool pump on and check that water is moving through the pump s suction lines.
