Power Door Lock Relay Clicking

If the power door lock relay fails it will cut off power to the entire power door lock.

Try using the passenger door switch and see if they function correctly. Locate the relay next to the cluster of different relays and solenoids. Remove the old door lock relay. Using a pair of needle nose pliers pull out the old relay.

If the power door lock relay fails it will cut off power to the entire power door lock system and may cause them to not function correctly. Power door locks that do not function are another common symptom for a problem with the door lock relay. Direct battery power through the pwr acc circuit breaker c b supplies the unlocking and locking power to the motors in the doors since the relays are clicking you can be pretty sure the ground and power circuits for the first circuit are working just fine. The power door lock does not work.

Install the new door lock relay. Where i would start if the switch makes the relay click in both directions then the switch is functioning. The ctsy lid fuse makes the relay click energizes the coil. For vehicles equipped with door lock cylinders the door can still be opened using the key.

The power windows work and the alarm system works. Are you hearing the relay click or the actuator move and it s just not moving the linkage. Do they not unlock and lock or just not lock. Open the hood if it is not already open.

The power mirrors also do not work. Get the new relay out of its package. The doors both lock using the key.
