Use a flat pry bar and hammer to pry the nails out of the drip edge gently.

The drip edge should be nailed centered in the top surface every 8 to 10 inches. Align the leading bottom edge of the first piece on the gable rake with the front edge of the drip edge installed on the eave. Make sure the corner is tight and that the bottom edge is tight to the fascia before nailing off the drip edge. Make sure to support the long end of the cut if you let it fall after cutting it will bend down and kink the drip edge.
